Playing God by preserving the weak.

Rough notes:

Why do we think saving the weak and the sick and the insane at the expense of the sane is something God wants? Where did that idea even come from, because it's not in the Old Testament at all? Did it come from the Satanists?

I think repenting of the evil that brought her here is what he should do, and preserving the life of God’s people is what he should do, not giving life support drugs to a demon that should have been dead and we would be free if he hadn’t stepped in and played God.

Animals let their weak die. Why? Because they are horrible? Or because that is how things are meant to be? They let them die, because otherwise the rest of the herd is at risk - slowed down, susceptible to predators, taking resources from the healthy that will propgate the pack. They let them die because it's in the best interest of the family. Farmers cull their weak. Why? Because they are horrible? Or because that's the only way to ensure the wellbeing of the 90%?

When a person is old, most of us would say that it is in the best interest of all the family to not preserve their life through life support but to let them go. But when a person is young, most of us would say that it doesn't matter what's in the best interest of the family, we must preserve their life at all cost. Why? Does a person's physical time on earth actually matter (i.e., age) or does their quality of life and impact on others matter?

I heard a mother say with relief, "We almost lost her, but were able to revive her!" She said this about her fully disabled, diapered, wheelchaired, mentally vegetative daughter. Just because she is her daughter. But step back and think about it: Did she really do anyone a service by preserving her life? First of all, her quality of life is zero. Second of all, you played God and that's the only reason she's still here. Third of all, your family continues to suffer through her care needs day in and day out and you think you're the hero for prolonging that?

How did we become so preverse? How did we become so numb and disregarding of the healthy?

Because of Satan, that's how. These are his ideas, not God's.
